Our Chiropractors

Dr. Kristin Johnson

Dr. Kristin loves helping people feel their best.  To her, there is no greater reward than watching someone move beyond the things that have held them back, and really begin to flourish.  Dr. Kristin’s strengths as a doctor are that she listens carefully, is thorough with examination and coordination of care, and truly focuses on each person’s unique needs.  When it comes to chiropractic adjustments, she is proficient in several different adjusting techniques from dynamic hands-on adjustments to very gentle low force techniques, which allows her to tailor her care to patient preferences and circumstances.  In addition, she has advanced training in specialties to complement her care such as acupuncture, Graston soft-tissue mobilization, nutrition response testing, and more.

Dr. Kristin is a graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic and the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse.  Just like you, Dr. Kristin understands the demands of balancing work-life and a family.  In addition to her work as a chiropractor and small business owner, she is a wife, mother, and a member of a large extended family.  She credits chiropractic care and its emphasis on a healthy lifestyle for helping her to find balance and stay focused on what matters to her the most.

Dr. Kristin is an adjunct clinical faculty member at Northwestern Health  Sciences University and often hosts chiropractic interns during their  final year of study.  Fun fact: Dr. Kristin began her work in this  clinic as an intern under the supervision of our former owner, Dr.  Michelle Greenman.  Understanding how essential a comprehensive  internship is to developing good doctoring skills, she is passionate  about teaching the future leaders of her profession.  And our patient’s  love it too… the enthusiasm and attentive care that interns bring into  our work makes it an extra special place.

“My husband and I often tell our son that in our family, we are ‘helpers’.  Connecting with our neighbors and working to improve the lives of others is important to us.  What a blessing it is that I get to wake up everyday and do this work to create a healthier community.”—Dr. Kristin Johnson

Meet Dr. Chara Klug

Dr. Chara Klug earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. She loves helping people feel better and attain their health goals, especially veterans and first responders who do so much for our communities every day. As a 25+ year veteran herself, Dr. Chara knows first hand what chiropractic care does, as she struggled with low back pain for many years.

Dr. Chara truly believes in the power of chiropractic and what it can do for a wide variety of cases and a wide variety of people as she treats patients of all ages from newborns to the elderly.

In her free time, Dr. Chara likes to run, bike, work out, volunteer, travel, and do just about anything outside with her son Wesley. Dr. Chara is excited to meet you and looks forward to working with you.

OUR FRIENDS

Christa Reihl, CMT

I have always had a persisting passion for helping people.

My desire to make a difference in people’s lives led me to achieve my Bachelors in Human Services from Saint Mary’s University. This enabled me to embark on my first career in Therapeutic Recreation at nursing homes caring for elderly residents.

Massage therapy started out as something I did on occasion while working with the residents. I used massage and music therapy to uplift their spirits and help soothe their bodily and emotional aches and pains.  The ideas of massage as the next step in my career blossomed as I saw the impact that it had on the residents’ daily lives. It was encouraging to observe improvement in their overall mobility and the positive ripple effect that it seemed to have on their mood.

The residents inspired me to pursue an education in massage therapy. I now not only have an Associates of Applied Science in Massage Therapy from Northwestern Health and Sciences University, but I am also board certified through The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB), the highest in standards in the massage therapy and bodywork profession. I continue to expand my skills and techniques staying up to date on the latest trends in massage therapy by taking classes and earning certificates for specific methodologies conducive to my or my clients’ interests and needs.

Amy Nesdahl- Energy Work, Mentoring, Bioresonance Concierge

After a career as an Audiologist, a real estate agent and a few other stops along the way, I trained as a Reiki Master back in 2004 and have been practicing ever since. Over the years I have learned and added many tools and modalities to my practice.  While Reiki is my foundation, "Energy Work" seems to be a better descriptor of what I offer to my clients now.

I am also incredibly passionate and excited about working with our awesome chiropractors to offer top quality supplements AND the innovative and insightful bioenergetic body and remedy scans. I've been working alongside chiropractors for much of my career. It's always felt like such a perfect fit. Science and Body Work meets Energy and Nervous System Regulation.

I love being a part of a team that is focused on our patients/clients as whole and complex humans. We are all different and there is no one-size-fits all solution. Having a group of amazing practitioners with so many tools to offer makes Bass Lake Chiropractic a great space for anyone's health journey.
