Dr. Kristin loves helping people feel their best. To her, there is no greater reward than watching someone move beyond the things that have held them back, and really begin to flourish. Dr. Kristin’s strengths as a doctor are that she listens carefully, is thorough with examination and coordination of care, and truly focuses on each person’s unique needs. When it comes to chiropractic adjustments, she is proficient in several different adjusting techniques from dynamic hands-on adjustments to very gentle low force techniques, which allows her to tailor her care to patient preferences and circumstances. In addition, she has advanced training in specialties to complement her care such as acupuncture, Graston soft-tissue mobilization, nutrition response testing, and more.
Dr. Kristin is a graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic and the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse. Just like you, Dr. Kristin understands the demands of balancing work-life and a family. In addition to her work as a chiropractor and small business owner, she is a wife, mother, and a member of a large extended family. She credits chiropractic care and its emphasis on a healthy lifestyle for helping her to find balance and stay focused on what matters to her the most.
“My husband and I often tell our son that in our family, we are ‘helpers’. Connecting with our neighbors and working to improve the lives of others is important to us. What a blessing it is that I get to wake up everyday and do this work to create a healthier community.”—Dr. Kristin Johnson
“Dr. Jon Morris is a great listener, and one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet”, says Clinic Director, Kristin Johnson, DC. When it comes to chiropractic care, these are qualities that make him stand out from the crowd. Whether it’s helping athletes attain their PR’s, keeping weekend warriors plugging along with their active lifestyles, or helping others to improve their ability to withstand their daily demands, Dr. Jon works like a detective to identify the sources of imbalance within the body and offer support and correction.
Dr. Jon is well-liked for his comfortable and specific adjustments from hands-on techniques to drop-piece or instrument assisted adjustments. In addition to adjusting, he also provides individualized physiotherapies such as Graston soft tissue mobilization and therapeutic exercises for rehabilitation. Dr. Jon’s main goal is to get his patients returned to the active demands of their life, while educating folks about how to maintain their health. Dr. Jon has doctoral and bachelors degrees from Northwestern Health Sciences University.
While growing up in Duluth, MN, Dr. Jon spent much of his childhood in his father’s transmission shop learning to keeping complex machines operating their best. It’s really no surprise then, that when his interests turned to extreme sports such as skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing, that a career providing chiropractic care to keep the body working its best made perfect sense. When he’s not working, you’ll find Dr Jon running a busy household, fixing and riding vintage snowmobiles and motorcycles, and on adventures with his son and daughter in tow.
Alison joined the Bass Lake Chiropractic team in September 2019 as Dr. Kristin’s Senior Chiropractic Intern. Alison is passionate about treating and working with women and specifically female teen athletes because these young women are at a transitional point in their lives while also putting high physical demands and stressors on the body. She also believes that patient education plays a crucial role in the recovery process and is always open to answer any questions regarding the patient’s health.
